This is an antique scale from The Standard Computing Scale Co. in Detroit, MI. It could have been used in a market, general store, or meat market. It is the perfect display piece. It has some marks/fading, but is in excellent condition for its age (see pictures for greater detail). The porcelain and mirrors are in great shape. It has been tested and appears to properly measure weight - but will need to be zeroed out.
